Questions About Jacksonville Beach

When does Alder & Oak Jacksonville Beach open?

This summer. Reservations open on OpenTable before the first service — subscribe at the top of this page to hear first.

Is the menu the same as Brooklyn?

Same kitchen philosophy, same sourcing, same seed-oil-free pantry. The Jax Beach kitchen is built around the Earthstone wood-fired oven — whole fish, 24-hour cold-fermented pizza, flatbreads. Small seasonal variations are part of how both kitchens work. The Brooklyn location is a 30-minute drive inland if you want to compare for yourself.

+

Is there indoor seating at Jacksonville Beach?

Yes — and it is the main event. 141 indoor seats make the dining room the primary space here, the opposite of Brooklyn, where dining is in a covered outdoor courtyard. 90 outdoor seats are also available. A reservation holds in any weather.

+

Does the Jacksonville Beach location have a rooftop?

Yes. Zorbas Jax Beach is a fully covered rooftop bar with Atlantic Ocean views — no reservation required. Zorbas Lounge sits with it — a conditioned room for a quieter pace.

+

Is the Jacksonville Beach location wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The indoor dining room is step-free from the 1st Ave N entrance. The second-floor lounge and Zorbas Rooftop are accessible via elevator. Accessible restrooms are on the dining floor.

+

Can I book a private event at Jacksonville Beach?

Yes. Indoor and outdoor private dining are available, plus Zorbas Rooftop and Zorbas Lounge upstairs for reception-style events. For larger gatherings, we partner with Private 131 — the upscale events venue on the same upper floor — for a full upper-floor buyout. Visit private events for details. Early inquiries for opening-month dates are already being held.
